Frosted Grape Salad

Not much needs to be said about this PERFECTLY chilled summer salad. no baking required and very little prep needed. What more could you want in a summer recipe?!

  • FROSTED GRAPE SALAD

  • 2 lbs grapes (green, red, or a combination of the two)

  • ½ cup white sugar

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 8 oz. sour cream

  • ½ cup chopped pecans (optional)

  • Wash and dry grapes.

Mix together the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

Remove grapes from stems and place in a large bowl, with pecans. Pour cream cheese mixture over all the grapes and stir until all are covered in a creamy coating. Garnish with pecans. This makes a large salad, I usually halve the recipe.

  • I like using half brown sugar and half white when making this recipe.

  • Whipped cream cheese works great in this recipe. It can be used straight from the fridge and cut out any planning ahead to set a block of cream cheese out.

adding more than just grapes to this would also be fantastic. I’ve been wanting to make a strawberry/kiwi version. Also think an all berry batch would be amazing! we would love to hear if you change the recipe up at all and do something besides grapes.
