Better than Boxed Homemade Brownies
you are going to want to bookmark this one! this brownie recipe is so good it’s going to have you making these instead of the boxed version. We will also include a link to another blog post that will show you how to make a large batch of dry brownie mix for this exact recipe. Store the brownie mix in a large airtight container and it will be even easier to make on a moments notice.
BETTER THAN BOX HOMEMADE BROWNIES
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips (We prefer the mini)
Preheat oven to 350°. Combine butter, cocoa, and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and mix until just combined, do not overmix. Mix in flour and salt until just combined. Add chocolate chips. Pour into a greased 8x8 pan. Bake for 23-25 minutes. I don’t think we’ve ever baked the small 8x8 pan longer than 25 minutes. Do not overbake. Brownies will continue to bake even after taken out of the oven while the pan is still hot.
To make a 9x13 pan, double the ingredients and bakd for 33-36 minutes at 350°. I’ll even do the math to make it a little easier!
1 cup butter, melted
1 cup unsweetened cocoa
2 1/2 cup sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Caramel or peanut butter chips are also a great option in these brownies!
